Global Harmonisation

Global harmonisation of international standards

head graphic  Global harmonisation of international standards

Ideally, an ISO standard should represent a single international solution that applies to all countries and can be applied by all countries.

At European level, the application of the approach is intended to lead to ISO standards that can be adopted as identical European standards. This is in line with the commitment of CEN to adopt EN ISO standards whenever possible.
