Monthly Hydraulic UK Sales and Orders Index

The monthly hydraulic UK sales and orders index provides participants with a regular snapshot of how the UK hydraulic equipment market is doing. This survey only takes a couple of minutes to complete each month, and in return respondents receive monthly data giving feedback on the performance of the hydraulic market, as well as historical trends which may help to predict possible future trends.

• The index compares sales in the previous month to the average monthly sales in the base year (2002), for a fixed group of companies, and allows participants to track their own company performance against a wider sample of BFPA hydraulic companies.
• Using the index numbers, graphs can be created tracking such things as 12 month moving averages, 12/12 pressure curves etc for BFPA hydraulic sales (see example shown).
• BFPA confidentiality rules are observed – no individual company information is published.
• The results are published in the form of an index only (not sales values) allowing companies to join or leave annually, also maintaining company confidentiality.
• Participation in the monthly hydraulic index automatically entitles a company to receive the results of the monthly pneumatic and distributor indices.
• Respondents report monthly UK sales and orders by mobile and other i.e. industrial (including distribution).
